Alzheimer’s and COVID-19

COVID-19 has been a hot topic of conversation for most of us for many months. It’s no surprise that since vaccines for COVID-19  have become available, it has also become a popular topic of conversation. As caregiver consultants, the questions we are hearing caregivers ask are: “Should my loved one get the vaccine?” and “Should I get the vaccine?” Of course, as with any medical question or issue, it is always best to go to your regular health care provider for answers that fit your specific situation and health care needs.

For those of you caring for a loved one with dementia, Here is a link to information from experts at the Alzheimer’s Association to help give you some guidance as you ponder these questions and discuss them with your health care provider.

If you are caring for a loved one with dementia, consider joining us for a support group that meets monthly, the 4th Tuesday of each month at 10 am at the Interfaith Caregivers office, 301 N. Main Street, Blue Earth or call our office at 526-4684 for more information.
