A great big thanks to our speakers and guests who were able to make our May Lunch & Learns such a great success!
At our Blue Earth Lunch & Learn Alex Butterbrodt, the dietitian at UHD, gave us some great healthy, practical, and easy nutrition tips. We walked away with 10 recipes of easy to make, 1-2 serving size meals; along with easy ways to keep track of portion sizes, which food groups to eat more of, and great seasoning substations for salt!
At our Wells Lunch & Learn the IFC staff, Carol Soma, Mary Kay Laabs, Merry McGowen, and Dan Woodring, educated and trained the attendees on how to be a Dementia Friend. There was a lot of good commentary from the group on their experiences with those affected by a form of dementia and some great suggestions on how to be more dementia friendly.
