Wow I think we had record breaking attendance at this Lunch & Learn! Everyone must be aching to get out and about this spring or be really interested in bees!!
Just a friendly reminder (since we had to turn a few people away due to being at max capacity) to RSVP for the Lunch & Learns and to RSVP early, please don’t wait until the last minute as groceries are bought ahead of time and we want to make sure everyone gets a good portion!!!
Thank you again to Jinger Woodring who made a delicious lunch of honey garlic baked pork bites, wild rice pilaf, and corn along with some frosted cookies with fruit toppings for desert!

Cindy Lyon entertained the group with interesting and fun facts about bees and honey, along with her story of becoming a bee keeper. Did you know bees only live on average 6 weeks and when they die there are “undertaker bees” that dispose of the dead bodies through the hole in the hive – pretty neat to hear how advanced bees are and the different jobs they perform.
Also, honey is the only food that never goes bad…EVER! If you have a jar of hard honey simply let it sit in some warm water (the way you would with a baby bottle) and it will start to loosen right up.
